Choice and Transparency
We all want to know more about the foods we eat – where they come from, what’s inside them and how they are made. We believe that’s a good thing, so we're committed to openness and transparency. Part of the story begins on your?Reese’s?Peanut Butter Cup wrapper or your?KRAVE package and we have more to share here.
Freedom to Choose
People care about the food they eat. They want to know what’s inside, and they want to have choices so that snack options meet their expectations.
We offer a wide variety
Consumers’ snacking habits have changed. Instead of always eating three meals a day, sometimes they want to snack throughout the day.
And when they reach for a snack, they have different expectations depending on when and why they are snacking. Sometimes it for a fun or indulgent treat. And sometimes, it’s for a more functional purpose, like bridging you to the next meal.
That’s why we offer a wide range of product choices to give them the permissibility to enjoy snacks that meet their needs, from smaller, portion-controlled offerings to bigger, more indulgent treats to better-for-you snack options. As part of our holistic approach to permissibility, by 2020, two-thirds of our individually wrapped confectionery products will be at 200 calories or less per serving. We make it easy to meet your snacking needs. It’s your choice.
We all want to know more about the foods we eat – where they come from, what’s inside them and how they are made. We believe that’s a good thing, so we're committed to openness and transparency. Part of the transparency story begins with the information on your Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup wrapper or your KRAVE package. But we have much more to share about what goes into our products beyond the label and our revolutionary SmartLabel? tool is a great example of going deeper inside our products.
We want to help you quickly and easily find the information you want about our products. In addition to providing nutrition and ingredient information on product labels and our website, we are using the power of technology to put detailed ingredient information right at your fingertips. We helped develop an industry-wide technology for U.S. products called SmartLabel?. With a simple QR code scan on the product package, you are linked to a wide range of product information including nutritional information, ingredients and their definitions, any allergen, gluten-free, and GMO ingredients information.
